Video artist Jakob Klaffs studied stage-directing for music-theater at the Theaterakademie in Hamburg, Germany. During this study he began his career as a video artist. Besides creating shortfilms his main focus lies on videoinstallations for stage-productions of theater, opera and performance. His occupational activities include conception, directing, camera-operating and editing of video-films depending on the particular needs of the current project.
Videokünstler Jakob Klaffs studierte Musiktheater-Regie an der Theaterakademie der Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg. Im Umfeld dieses Studiums begann er seine Arbeit mit Video, in der er neben Kurzfilmen vor allem Videoinstallationen für Theater- und Opernproduktionen entwickelt. Seine Tätigkeit erstreckt sich, je nach Projekt, über Konzeption, Regie, Kamera und Schnitt der Videos.
